Building the AFC Bournemouth Fan Zone: A Coastline Events Project
We were recently asked to create a fan zone for AFC Bournemouth that would give supporters a proper space to gather before the game—somewhere that felt lively, well-designed, and still practical for big crowds. The result? A fully kitted-out matchday hub that’s become part of the pre-game ritual for many Cherries fans.
What We Delivered
The main feature was a large marquee structure, giving shelter from the rain (or sun, on a good day) while creating a central space for fans to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Inside, we set it up with custom furniture—solid, comfortable, and built to look the part. It’s not just about throwing tables and chairs in; it was important the space looked thought through and on-brand.
To handle the crowd, we installed two converted shipping containers as fully functional bars. These weren’t basic set-ups—they were proper bars, fitted out to serve people quickly and keep queues down. The containers were branded and built to last, and the layout made sure everything flowed properly on busy match days.
Finishing Touches
Branding ran through everything—furniture, signage, layout—so it all tied together and felt part of the club, not just an add-on. It’s the details that help turn a simple structure into something supporters actually want to be in.
This project came together quickly, but with plenty of planning behind the scenes. From the initial brief to handover, we managed every step to make sure everything was ready in time and worked exactly as it should.
